Our Story

Beginnings

Stride Sisters didn’t begin as a grand idea.
It started with something simple: a walk.

A desire to slow down. To step outside. To feel more connected to myself, to others, and to something steady.

Like many women, I’ve had seasons where life felt full but also somehow disconnected. Busy, but missing something deeper. I realized how rare it is to have spaces that feel both easy and meaningful, where you can just show up as you are.

Walking became that space for me. No pressure. No performance. Just movement, conversation, and presence.

Over time, I started inviting a few women to join.
Then a few more. And something began to form naturally.

Stride Sisters grew out of that.

It’s not about being the most social, the most fit, or having it all together. It’s about creating room. Room for conversation, for reflection, and for deeper connection every one of us desires.

This collective is a reminder that we don’t have to do life alone. That something powerful can happen when women simply walk side by side.

I’m still learning, still growing, still showing up just like everyone else. But I believe in this:

That small steps matter. That community doesn’t have to be complicated. And that sometimes, the simplest things, like a walk, can open the door to something more than we could every hope or imagine.

From Grace

I’m Grace Gruverman, founder of Stride Sisters. With a background in architecture and a passion for health and movement, I’ve always been drawn to how spaces shape the way we move, gather, and feel.

Stride Sisters grew from something simple: a desire to slow down, step outside, and feel more connected. What began as a walk has grown into a space where women can show up as they are and walk alongside one another, literately and figuratively.

I believe there is something powerful in choosing to show up, not perfectly, but honestly. In taking a step, even when you’re unsure. In being surrounded by women who remind you, in small ways, that you’re not alone.

If anything, this is just a beginning. A reminder that even the smallest steps can lead us back to ourselves and to each other.

I invite you to walk with us.
